Tara Cultural Bridge Society is a North Shore nonprofit dedicated to strengthening belonging, connection, and participation among families from diverse cultural backgrounds, particularly newcomers and first- and second-generation immigrants. Tara targets families with children, and seniors, and it creates programs, cultural celebrations, workshops, arts activities, and community gatherings that bring people together across cultures and generations. It also builds partnerships with local organizations and community resources to help families connect with services, opportunities, and the wider community.
Tara believes that cultural heritage can be a bridge rather than a boundary. By creating welcoming spaces where families can share traditions, discover other cultures, and participate in community life, Tara seeks to foster inclusion, intercultural understanding, stronger community bonds, a deeper sense of home and belonging, and an improved quality of life.
